brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632AD.Shalimar Bagh ( abode of love )
was built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan.
All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake
With the Zebarwan mountains in the background.
The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens Is about 12 and 15 km respectively.

GULMARG
After breakfast leave for Gulmarg (meadow of flowers) 2730 mts. Above sea level. The distance of 57 km will be covered in about 2 1/2 hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and the highest golf course with 18 hotels. One can also have a view of Nanga Parbhat if the weather permits. the view enroute from tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek up to Khilangmarg, which can be covered in about 3 hrs. Also, enjoy sled riding on show .chair lifts for mountain rides are also available.
PAHALGHAM
En route visit the Awantipura ruins, an 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lond Vishnu and built by King Awantivarman On arrival at Pahalgam.A small Village set in pine and fir forest is pleasing and offers a good view.Visit ABC Valley (at Your Own cost)
SONAMARG
Today you embark on a full-day excursion to the picturesque 'meadow of gold ' Sonamarg. Sonamarg is the last stop of the Kashmir district From here starts the territory of Ladhaka. Situated at an altitude of 2743m above sea level. The fast-flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and masher fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun with snow and ice (by your own payment)
